Benefit of BB and CC creams

Today I am going to share the benefit of using BB and CC creams .

Blemish balms or BB cream are very popular these days .
We can get BB creams from various brands in market .
They are basically Foundation + Moisturizer + sunscreen all packed in a single product.

Benefits of BB cream :

1.Gives light coverage and evens the skin tone .
2.Acts  as a sunscreen so one does not needs to put another sunscreen cream .
3.It moisturizes the skin .
4.Regular usage improves the skin tone .
5.Gives no make up or minimal make up look .

One can find BB creams from various famous brands in market like Ponds BB cream , Maybelline BB cream , Body shop BB, Garnie BB  cream etc .
One needs to test and find which one suits their skin best and then continue using that .
I have used Ponds BB cream ,Garnie BB Cream ,  Maybelline BB cream .

My skin is oily and I found Ponds BB cream most suitable for my skin type .
It is light weight and blends well .It has SPF 30 which is very good and regular usage improves skin tone .
Maybelline BB cream is ok , its SPF value is 21 .
My experience with Garnie BB cream was not too good .
Honestly I did not like it .
CC creams are Colour Correcting Creams .
They are meant to cover uneven skin tone and dark spots .

I have used Lakme CC cream its good .
It has SPF 20 and gives medium coverage .
I have used this product for several months , its good , the only thing I disliked is one need to massage it quite for a long time to get it blend completely in skin .
It gives a soft matte finish and is good for everyday wear .
Its best suited for normal to combination skin , for dry skin one needs to add moisturizer to it or apply moisturizer first then this CC cream .

Difference between BB and CC creams 

1.CC creams have lighter texture then BB creams .
2.CC creams gives a semi matte look where as BB cream gives between matte and dewy look .
3.CC creams are more hydrating then BB creams .
4.BB creams are for younger skin where as CC creams are for older skin .

Advantages of using BB and CC Creams 

1.One can use a single product either a BB or CC cream which will do work for 3 products like Moisturizer , foundation and sunscreen , thus saving money and time .
2.Regular usage of a good BB or CC cream helps to improve skin tone .
3.Most of these  creams are suitable for daily use and their pack is Travel Friendly so one can easily carry it in their bag or purse .
4.Most of these creams contain Vitamin E , C ,A which has anti ageing properties .
5.Most of these creams are in affordable range . They are not very expensive , so any one can buy and use .

Summer Fashion

Summer is here and we all want to beat the heat  in a style with comfortable apparels and good accessories .
So today my post is dedicated to Summer Fashion .

Before choosing any apparel or accessories for summer we have to keep in mind few things :

1. For apparels the material should be comfortable , cotton is most preferred as its light on skin .
2.One should wear light colour dress as dark ones does not looks too good in summer , one should avoid wearing black colour as its absorbs heat .White Lime Yellow and baby pink are most preferred colour for summers . 
3.Accessories should also  be light weight not too heavy , like light weight jewelleries .
4.One can use colourful stoles and scarves to protect themselves from heat and it looks good too.
5.One can use big hat to avoid sunrays directly coming on their face and causing tan .
6.Even while choosing footwear one has to be carful , choose the ones which are open sandal kind of thing or colourful and trendy flip flops or flats .

Regarding summer makeup :

 1. One should use products which are water proof or else because of heavy sweating it would be difficult to keep make up for long , one can use water proof mascara eyeliners and other products .

2.A SPF cream is a must for summers as it protects the skin form harmful sunrays and prevents tanning of skin . It should be applied 15-20 minutes before stepping out in skin and if one is staying outdoors then should be reapplied after four hours .

3.One should use light makeup with pink or peach colour shades for  summer .
Instead of dark colour lipstick shade one can go for pink lip gloss which looks very good .

4. Instead of using foundation one can also use BB or CC creams which works like foundation and is not too heavy for skin.

The Sunscreen I use for my skin is VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen , its a good product in affordable range and very effective to prevent tanning of skin , also it gives a matte look .

My Experience:

As I said above, I love using natural products on my skin. I had heard about patanjali but didn’t tried. When I saw this other day in big bazaar I thought of trying it out.

I must say that I am super impressed with its result that too at first trial only. I had a natural glow on my face and my face looked quite soft and healthy.

It provided nice radiance which stayed on for long. It is natural and have not given me any breakouts yet. I am really happy with this and love pampering myself with this face pack.

Pray and meditate for some moments in a day.15 minutes of quietness in prayer/meditation gives us hope, strengthen our dreams and provides visibility about the road ahead of us.

Get nostalgic about how we were appreciated the moon with all our eyes during our teen days and glance around to appreciate Mother Nature.

Organizing Digital Media


Organization is an art which makes a man perfect and increases its confidence that what he has done and how he has organize his things. Well, I truly believe this statement but unfortunately I am not that much organised. I always try to keep things on their respective places but by the end of the day the things get messy.  But, I keep on doing trying to get rid of this habit.


In my house I have make the areas for some respective things like In my almirah I have decided to keep only those things which I have decided for like I have three big sections in my almirah I have decided 1 section for bed sheets, pillow covers, dining table cover, rugs and table cloth.  The second section is for my daily routine clothes and the first section is for hanging only ironed clothes. By following my own rules I make my almirah well organized.

 I have applied the same rule with my digital stuff. I always make my main folder and then make some sub folders with an appropriate name. For example Main Folder’s Name: Bhawna Sub folders Names: Educational Documents, Identity Proofs, Professional Documents, Class II – Stuff etc. Through this way I always keep the documents which is related to me in my main folder under its respective heading (means sub folder).  And the same way I keep my documents online too.

google drive

I always believe on Google Drive, which gives me an organized platform to keep things in well mannered way. But in between all this organization, some of my bad habits keep the things messy for example I have a very bad habit to keep digital stuff on my desktop and make my desktop heavy. But now I am keep a check on me to give some time to sort out those files which I kept on desktop or move them in their respective folders. Yes, the way I keep things makes me different from others because any other person can easily locate things which he/she wants from my laptop in absence of me. 


 I hats off to those peoples who introduced this digital media to us, because I can never expect me to carry all the documents with me always. This digital media has proved itself that it’s a big helping hand for us and how beautifully delivers its services to us. 

My laptop and my phone are my helping hands because I can access anything with these devices. My work was only to set the documents accordingly. Internet is the boon for us which helps us to work faster and accurate plus organize us in well mannered way.

Hair care Routine for Summer

During summer  because of excessive heat there is lot of sweat and our hairs needs extra care and a proper regime to maintain its shine and lusture .
Today I will share some hair care tips to maintain healthy and shiny hairs .
Summer Hair Care Regime :

1. Wash your hair thrice a week ,  not daily as it will make hair too dry and frizzy .
2.Oil your hair with a good oil , either coconut oil or olive oil Preferably  oiling should be done in the night and hair wash in the morning .
3.Use a mild shampoo for  hair wash , a herbal one with no chemicals is highly recommended .
4.Use a good conditioner after hair wash .
5. One can apply henna  or Mehndi paste or Amla paste on hair and wash it off after some time , it helps to make hairs strong and healthy .
6.While going out one should cover the hair with a scarf or a hat , it protects the hair from harmful UV rays and also helps  in retaining moisture .
7.During summer one should keep their hair in a loose hairstyle as it helps air movement and prevents accumulation of sweat .
8.Avoid using hair dryers in summer as it makes your hair frizz up , let them dry themselves , naturally .
9.Use a wide tooth comb for combing your hair , it helps to remove tangles and frizz and so there is less hair breakage .
10.Eat a balanced diet rich with iron and protein to maintain good hair health .
Eat lots of iron rich food like Spinach and high protein diet like pulses , soya , Paneer etc .
If required one can take iron supplements too but this should be done only after consulting a doctor.

Some DIY masks for hair :

To Treat Dandruff :

Dandruff is a common problem . To treat dandruff one can do following things :

1.Mix a tablespoon of coconut oil with juice  of one lime , massage it on scalp  , leave it for sometime and then wash your hair with a good shampoo , this helps a lot to remove dandruff’s from hair .
2.Apply some curd on your scalp and leave it for one hour , then shampoo your hair , this also helps to remove dandruff from scalp.

To strengthen the hair :

1.Amla mask 

Mix two teaspoon of amla powder with warm water , add one tea spoon of honey and two teaspoon of  curd , mix it well then  apply on scalp and hair and leave it for half an hour , then wash it off with plenty of water .
2. Banana and Honey mask.

Take a ripened banana , mash it properly , add two table spoon of honey in it .
Apply this mask on hair and leave it for just 15 minutes .
Then wash it off with plenty of water , use a comb while washing your hair to remove bits of banana from your hairs .
One can wear a shower cap after applying this mask on hair so to prevent this mask from falling off .
Banana contains potassium which strengthens the hair .
Use this pack once in a week to get strong and shiny hair .



To get Shiny Hair :

1. Onion Juice 
Onion contains sulphur which  helps to remove dandruff and dirt from hair and it accelerates hair growth .
Take two raw onion , make a paste in a grinder .
Squeeze to get its  juice using a strainer or muslin cloth .
Apply this onion juice on scalp and massage it , then leave it for 30 minutes then wash  it off with a mild shampoo .
Regular usage stimulates the growth of collagen tissues and helps in hair growth .
2.Egg and Curd Pack 

Take white of one egg add a table spoon of curd , mix it properly and apply it on scalp and hair , leave it for 30 minutes then wash it off with a mild shampoo .
This pack makes hair silky and shiny .

Products I use for my hairs :

I always use a mild shampoo for my hair which contains less or no chemicals .
I use a conditionar after shampoo .
I oil my hair in the night and then shampoo my hair in morning .
I use amla power , heena powder mask for my hair specially during summers .
I use Livon Serum as it helps to control Frizz and helps to detangle hair thus avoiding hair breakage .

Skin care for Oily skin

People having oily skin need  to be very careful  or else it can lead to several skin problems like acnes , pimples  etc.
I too have oily skin so I am very careful in choosing skin care products . I choose products which are meant for oily skin and do not use a product without knowing details about it.
I will share some tips for skin care regime for Oily skin .

First we need to understand that only skin care products cannot help to remove oiliness of skin and cure and control acnes and pimples , it also related with proper skin care regime , food habit , cleanliness etc

Cleanliness :

1. We need to change our pillow covers every second or third day as a dirty pillow cover  can aggravate acne problem .
2. Towels specially the one for face should also be washed frequently .
3.Sometimes dandruff problem also aggravates acnes and pimples , so it is very important to keep the scalp and hairs clean or else it adds woes to pimple problem .

Food Habit :

1. One should avoid oily food specially the deep fried ones as much as possible , one can opt for baked or steamed food as more oil we consume , more will be the acne problem .
2.One should eat lots of fresh vegetables , fruits  and salads .
3.One should drink plenty of water .
4.Drinking coconut water specially in  empty stomach helps to reduce pimples and acnes .
5.There are certain food which trigger acne problem like butter and cheese , one should try to find out that which food is creating acne problem  for them and should try to avoid such foods .

Skin Care :
One needs to maintain proper skin care regime to keep the skin  clean and clear and avoid acnes and pimples problem .

1. One should use a good face wash  or cleanser meant for oily skin at least twice daily , once in the morning and once at night to wash their face and remove all dirt and oil from face.
2.Twice a week one should use a good facial Scrub to remove black heads and white heads from face and keep it clean.
3.One can use face packs like Fuller earth, Sandal wood powder mixed with rose water , one needs to apply the paste on face and keep it for 15-20 minutes then wash it off with plenty of water ,it helps to control oiliness of skin .
4.One should always remove makeup before going to bed as if makeup not removed properly causes havoc and creates lots of skin problem .One can use a good makeup remover from a reputed brand to remove all traces of makeup and then wash their face with a good face wash or cleanser .
5.One should use skin care and makeup products from reputed brands and not from cheap local brands to avoid any skin problem .Its better to buy little expensive but good products .
6.One should also research a little about any new product before trying it , this can be done either by asking friends who have already used it or search about it on a beauty blog or youtube channel .
7.Do not use moisturisers loaded with oil which will not be suitable for oily skin , try to find a light moisturiser suitable for your skin type .
8.Look for products classified as “noncomedogenic” — meaning they don’t clog pores. Clogged pores can lead to formation of blackheads, so it is absolutely necessary you use “noncomedogenic” products.

 Even if pimples break out one should not get panicky but try to deal it with patience as it does not goes in day but takes some time .
One should never touch and paly with pimples , in such cases even after the pimple goes scars are left which look very bad .
one should clean their face properly and try to use fuller earth’s or sandalwood paste facemask regularly to control that pimple , if still the problem persists one should consult a dermatologist .
Some Home made face packs for oily skin 

1.Banana Face pack for Oily Skin 
Banana  face pack is very effective for oily skin .
Take half a mashed banana , 1 egg white , 1 table spoon curd , make a face pack from these three ingredients and apply it on your face and leave for 15 minutes , then wash  it off with plenty of water , it removes oiliness of skin and gives instant glow to your face 

2. Exfoliator from sugar and coffee – Can be made from grounded coffee bean and sugar , lavender oil  . To make this exfoliator one needs to ground the coffee bean and sugar to a fine texture and add little lavender oil to it , this should be applied to face and left for 15-20 minutes , then should be washed with water.
Result –Smooth skin with no blemishes.


Products I use for my skin :

For daily skin care regime I use following things 
1.A good face wash like Banjara’s Orange + Multani face wash .
2.Votre Scrub 
3.Votre Toner 
4.A day cream like Olay White which is suitable for oily skin .
5.A sunscreen like VLCC which is good for oily skin .

I also use face masks like 
1. Banjaras multani + Sandal face pack , which is ideal for oily skin , helps to make skin oil free and avoid acnes problem .
2.Spa Ceylon Jasmine White Masque –its also an excellent product which removes all dirt and oil form skin and makes it feel fresh .
